<image:caption>She/They Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, Tiffany is a 2nd generation Filipinx-American. She grew up playing on the beach and lived in a multigenerational household where meal time always felt like a party. Having a connection with her family, deeply humbles her and highlights the importance of community, especially within healing. She spends most of her free time usually out in nature, paddleboarding, cooking Filipinx food, or spending time with her 5 year old. Tiffany has more than 7 years of clinical experience working at different agencies that support marginalized populations. Previous non-profit agencies that she has worked for includes Ka Hale a Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center, Maui Sexual Assault Center, Maui Youth and Family Services, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service. Her activism in the field has centered around sexual assault/domestic violence advocacy and mental health support. Tiffany is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington state. She actively seeks to improve her therapeutic skills through continued education, training, peer consultation, and supervision. Her recent career path has led her to somatic healing work, specifically Somatic Abolitionism, to support BIBOC folks in her professional and personal spaces. <image:caption>Thank you for being here. Therapy is an outlet to hold space for all parts of your being and a place to navigate through the complexities of your identity, power, and privilege. Transformation happens when we welcome these parts that are both celebrated and perhaps, stuck in survival mode. You are the expert of what your body needs to feel at peace. You deserve a life of safety, dignity, and connection to all self-identities, your body, and the people that matter to you. As a BIBOC therapist, I recognize the importance of how systems of oppression and intersecting identities impact mental health and your ability to show up. My passion is providing space to people who are impacted by racialized trauma, attachment wounds, or sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse. I welcome all who comes through my door, however, I do prioritize the needs for folx (children, individuals, and families) who identify as BIBOC (Black, Indigenous, and Bodies of Color).</image:caption>

I am more than happy to provide referrals for other clinicians to better fit your needs. *Sliding Scale I do recognize financial hardships and would like to make therapy as accessible as possible. I offer limited slots for sliding scale fee on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority for these slots are for folks who identify with historically marginalized communities, i.e. QTBIPOC, LGBTQIA+, ability, etc. Please reach out to me if you would like to hear more of this option. Free 10-15 minute phone consultation is available to see if I’m the right clinician for you. Please email me to schedule- TiffanysMFT@missingpeacetherapy.org</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapeutic Approach - Therapeutic Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>There is no “one-size-fits-all” to therapy. I believe the most crucial part of healing work comes from a place of compassion and trust within the therapeutic relationship. My approach is of Humanistic-Experiential orientation grounded within a social justice lens. I focus on the authentic, here-in-now interactions and can address my individual clients, with all the intersectional identities they hold. I am nurturing and open, and usually step back in order for you to set the pace on your healing journey. I respect and acknowledge you wanting to dive into your own work and try not to impose on my own agenda in session. As a family therapist, we will work together in assessing toxic and relational behaviors, alongside your family of origin narrative which influences how you show up with loved ones in your life. During our initial session, we will most likely be creating a family genogram, or an ‘active family tree’ giving us insight on patterns that were passed down from generation to generation. Throughout therapy, we will continue to bring these important figures in the room (spiritually, sometimes, physically) to process narratives of trauma and also, resiliency. Education I hold an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University-Hawaii where my speciality focuses on working alongside victims, survivors, thrivers of sexual assault. I have years of experience working with Asian/Asian Pacific Islander community providing case management and prevention work in both Hawaii and Washington State. Certifications and trainings: -Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) -WCSAP Sexual Assault Advocate/Therapist Training -EMDR Clinician -Somatic Abolitionism (Resmaa Menakem).</image:caption>
